I studied health sciences and philosophy at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. During my studies, I was a (board)member of various university and faculty councils. I did internships at the Rathenau Institute and Utrecht Medical Center and obtained her language proficiency certificates in London. I also worked as a junior researcher helping with an evaluation study for community-dwelling frail older persons and teaching bachelor students in quantitative research skills.

After my studies, I started with her PhD research in the field of Science and Technology Studies at the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management. I worked together with diverse Dutch (mental) healthcare organizations, participated in the EU-funded BigMedilytics project and design thinking projects, and collaborated with Anne Beaulieu from the University of Groningen. During my PhD research, I was active in the PhD representation board of the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management. In addition, I taught diverse groups of bachelor and master students in various courses.

Currently, I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. In addition, I am a board member of the Dutch Coeliac Society and enjoys making my own clothes. I live in Schiedam with my husband.
